Application: For confirming the presence of enterococci, particularly in the bacteriological analysis of water acc. to Hajna and Perry (1943).

Preparation

  • Shake the container well to homogenize the powder. Suspend 36 g of the powder in 1 L of purified water. Mix well.
  • Autoclave under mild condition at 115°C for 15 minutes.
  • This product contains azide which is toxic. Therefore, when handling the powder, wear gloves, mask and eye protection. When washing azide products down sinks, use sufficient water to prevent accumulation of azide in the plumbing.

 

STORAGE:

Store dehydrated medium below 30 °C and prepared medium at 2-8 °C. The best time to use is before the expiration date printed on the product label.
