Campylobacter Selective Preston Supplement is an antibiotic supplement recommended for selective isolation of Campylobacter strains.

Preparation

  • Warm the vial of Campylobacter Selective Preston Supplement to room temperature.
  • Add 5 ml of 50% acetone solution to the vial and dissolve completely.
  • Add the supplement to 475 ml Campylobacter Enrichment broth base or Campylobacter agar (Preston) that has been sterilized and cooled to 50°C.
  • Add 25 ml of sterile and lysed horse blood to the medium.
  • Mix well and pour into sterile Petri dishes.

 

STORAGE:

  • Keep away from light.
  • -20 degree Celsius.
