Catalogue Number: ic27013

توضیحات

The iChrom Bacillus culture medium contains a chromogenic substrate that is hydrolyzed by the enzymes of Bacillus cereus, and as a result of this hydrolysis, colonies are seen on the culture medium in green-blue color. In addition, this medium also contains two antibiotics, polymyxin B and trimethoprim. As a result of the presence of these two antibiotics, many Gram-negative bacteria as well as some Gram-positive bacteria including other Bacillus species are inhibited.

It should be noted that Bacillus thuringiensis has biochemically similarities to Bacillus cereus and appears as green-blue colonies on the culture medium.
