توضیحات
MicrobCheckTM TBC slides have a rich Agar-based culture medium with a special formulation on both sides. By using these slides, counting the total number of aerobic microorganisms present in a liquid sample with one surface is easily possible. The TTC present in the culture medium of these slides causes a color change of colonies from white to red by reacting with the enzyme produced during aerobic respiration of bacteria, making counting easier.
Advantages:
- Possibility of on-site testing.
- Simple procedure including dipping into the sample, heating, and interpretation.
- Storage for several months at refrigerator temperature.
- Suitable for identifying various microbial contaminations.
- Reasonable price.
- No need for time-consuming and expensive culture medium preparation processes.
- Can be performed by non-specialists without the need for special equipment to check microbial contamination of surfaces and many fluids such as water, milk, water-soluble dyes, cosmetics, urine, etc.
- Suitable for microbiology laboratories, clinics, and for health control in food production and more.
Kit specifications: The surface under investigation on each slide is 8 square centimeters.
Expiration date: 8 months after porduction
Storage condotions: Kept at a temperature of 8-4 degrees Celsius and away from direct sunlight. Prevent slides from freezing.
Test
Liquid sampling: After removing the slide from the sterile Falcon, immerse it into the liquid under investigation. Then remove the slide and gently shake it to remove any excess liquid from the slide surface. After that, return the slide back into the Falcon tube and close the lid tightly.
Surface Sampling: Remove the slide from its sterile Falcon and place it in direct contact with the surface under investigation. The contact between the two surfaces should be in a way that the agar medium of the slide is completely transferred onto the surface being examined to achieve maximum bacterial recovery.
Incubation: If a complete microbial count is required, heat the slide at 35-37°C for 16-24 hours. For Example
- Environmental microorganisms at 25-30 degrees Celsius for 24-48 hours;
- Microorganisms present in the body require incubation at a temperature of 35-37 degrees Celsius for 24-48 hours.
Important note: Slides must be autoclaved or incinerated after use. This can also be immersed in a 10% bleach solution for 24 hours.
